Shrimp Boil

Spice up your dinner this week by trying this easy one pot meal....

Shrimp Boil
1⁄2 c seafood seasoning
(2 T salt)
8 medium red potatoes, quartered
2 large onions, cut into wedges
8 ears fresh corn, cleaned & cut into halves
2 lbs unpeeled shrimp (1 can beer, optional)

Heat 3 quarts of water to boiling in large pot. Add seafood seasoning and salt. Add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes. Add onions and cook an additional 10 minutes. Add corn and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Add shrimp and beer, if desired, for the final 2 minutes. Drain and serve with a lot of napkins! I put down a table liner and some newspaper for ambiance!!! And if you are a little more "into" theme dinners like I am, program Ocean Waves Radio into Pandora and relax and enjoy.....It was a winner!!  almost felt like we were at the beach!

I was so frustrated with our bathroom fixtures.  Over the 12 years that we have lived in our home, all of the oil-rubbed finish rubbed right off!  To replace each faucet would cost $3-400 easy.  So, I came across some oil-rubbed spray paint and decided to give it a try!  and....viola! It worked!  I taped around the base of the faucet handle and then used Modge Podge to seal the tape.  Mineral spirits got some of the residual drips off the marble super easy.....
